After crossing the railway into Ashurst Wood, the path follows a winding road through ancient pasture woodland and across a grassy lawn to the historic remains of a saltpetre house. The return journey follows a roadside cycle track back to Ashurst village.

It's a peaceful and leisurely way to spend a few hours, soaking in the local wildlife, historic features, and picturesque countryside.
